Silkscreen Project at Danger Press : Here's the Options

Got this info from Danger Press and wanted to pass it along to you all to see if any of these interest you. If not, then we'll move on to another way to proceed with the Band Project.
Since we would be using money from your lab fees then I wanted each of you to weigh in on what is being offered. We'll talk about this in class on Monday.

Here are three options for having your class come through the shop.
Let me know if you have any questions. Hope your semester is going well so far.

OPTION 1 - One on one printing - Students each print a poster of their own

Discussion of how to prep artwork for a professional print shop at GA STATE during a class
Students prep art using photoshop or illustrator or other analogue techniques on their own time
Students get one on one time with press operator at DANGER in chunks of 3 hours to print their project and learn
Students walk away with a one or two color print at 18x24 and professional experience.

Cost - $200 per person plus the $400 for the discussion

OPTION 2 - Group print - Students print a poster in groups of 3

They then view a project on press and the discussions which preceded the demo are seen in practice.

  1. As much as I would love the single print per person option, I doubt everyone has that kind of money to throw at it. Option two gets my vote. That way we get to work in small groups on fun, collaborative designs as well as save money.
